Who is this qualification for?

Individuals who are not currently in teaching but who would like to learn about the role of a teacher or Individuals who have just started teaching and who want an initial Education and Training qualification


What is the duration of the course?

The course is usually run over 3 to 4 days with 1 day dedicated to the practical element of micro teaching which will be assessed on the day. There are 3 theory assignments to complete.. The time recommended for completion of these assignments is 4 to 6 weeks. Courses are delivered for clients in house with a minimum number of 10 candidates.

There are 3 units to complete
Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in Education and Training
Understanding and using inclusive learning approaches in Education and Training
Understanding assessment in Education and Training


Cost of this course completing the three units above £450.00



There is the option to select alternative units which are part of the Learning and Development suite of qualifications, including the knowledge unit of the Assessor qualification (Understand The Principles and Practices of Assessment).

Who is this qualification for?

For individuals who want a teaching qualification that will give them a fundamental understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a teacher/trainer in relation to legislation, Equality and Diversity, Inclusivity and meeting needs of learners. It includes the use of initial and diagnostic assessments and requires candidates to plan and deliver inclusive teaching and learning, carry out assessment and learn how to use resources effectively. Candidates do not have to be teaching groups of learners.


What is the duration of the course?

This is flexible and can be negotiated to suit individual client and candidate needs. Courses are delivered for clients in house with a minimum number of 10 candidates.
